"The Tiny Report: Micro-Press Yearbook 2016" by Robyn Chapman
with Jonathan Rotsztain & Virginia Paine
The 2016 issue of The Micro-Press Yearbook profiles two important comic institutions: Toronto comic shop The Beguiling and the indie publisher Sparkplug Comic Books. In a detailed article, Jonathan Rotsztain chronicles The Beguling’s history, with commentary from cartoonist Seth and shop-owner Peter Birkmoe. In the Sparkplug profile, Robyn Chapman interviews Virginia Paine, who played the role of publisher after Dylan Williams' passing in 2011 until closing shop in 2016. Also included is a complete bibliography of Sparkplug's sixty-eight titles.
And as always, The Micro-Press Yearbook chronicles the yearly output of all the micro-presses they can track down.
