That's Comic Arts Los Angeles, don'tcha know!
This weekend, December 14 and 15, another curated festival of independent comic artists is taking place at Homenetmen Ararat North Campus. It's been 10 years since the show was first organized and it features a fantastic collection of artists from near and far.
With all of the shows, classes, concerts and cups of coffee that have passed through here over the past few months, we've hardly had a moment to pause and reflect—but you know what? Birdcage Comics Cafe is two years old! And in that time, thanks to you, we've become a hub for artists, musicians and comix fans
That's right, our first time at TCAF! I'll be manning both the NBM Graphic Novels table AND the Birdcage Bottom Books tables (#137 & #138). We'll be bringing mostly books, but if there's a minicomic or a specific title you'd like, please let us know.
We'll be debuting STEADY ROLLIN' by Fred Noland (who will be joining us to sketch and sign books), THE COLA POP CREEMEES by Desmond Reed, and the final two issues of FLOP SWEAT, Lance Ward's memoir comics series.
